Instacart vs. Sam’s Club+: The Shocking Price Difference on the Same Cart

If you think grocery delivery services like Instacart save you money, think again. GrowcerWorld compared the exact same 9-item cart from Sam’s Club+ to Instacart — and the results speak for themselves.
Sam’s Club+ came in at $101.08. Instacart, even with a $40 promo, totaled $145.50. Without the promo, the cost jumped to $185.50. That’s 44% more with Instacart after the “discount” and 84% more without it — for the exact same groceries.
With Instacart
- Delivery fee$8.99
- Service fee$7.65
- Estimated taxes and fees$1.41
- $40 off any store -$40.00
- Scheduled delivery discount-$2.00
- Total
$145.50$90.73
Just ridiculous
The difference comes from higher base prices before discounts, plus an $8.99 delivery fee, $7.65 service fee, $1.41 in taxes and fees, and a one-time $40 coupon that disappears on your order. InstaCart markups items as much as $2.50.
For example: Kings Hawaiian listed on Instacart for $7.98 >> priced at $7.15
Sam’s Club price is $6.68
That is just one item of the 9 items in both carts
The math is simple — you’re paying a premium for convenience, and it adds up fast.

I have to say I totally agree. The corporate greed is just unbelievable and the consumer always pays in the end . Instacart is not the way to go!!!!
